Patrick’s JiraCon23 Must-See List
-
Next Level Jira Automation In Your Browser
- Speaker: Brittany Joiner, PixieBrix
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: Brittany is enthusiastic, welcoming, and really smart. She’s a popular figure in the Jira/Trello world for both her content and her openness to connect and help people. Plus, her topic this year is really cool. The automations accessible in the browser are pretty killer.
-
Cloud Migration Tips, Volume 2
- Speaker: Barbara Schwarzwald, Decadis
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: Volume 1 was one of our most popular sessions at JiraCon22. If you’re self-managing your Cloud Migration, and it’s still not done. Pick Barbara’s brain at JiraCon23. We will also have a virtual room dedicated to Cloud Migration as a topic, so it is the right event if you need to accelerate your plan before Feb 2024.
-
Mastering Release Deployment Tracking in Jira
- Speaker: David Berclaz, Apwide
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: Release Deployments are rituals with a lot of inputs, stakeholders, customer impacts and variables at play. David has a ton of experience in this area, and beyond the initial learnings from this session, he will be a reliable source of knowledge for individual use cases.
-
Planning Beyond the Sprint with Advanced Roadmaps
- Speakers: Erica Larson & Brendan Byers
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: ACE Leads are cool. Erica and Brendan have a wealth of hands-on experience, and are into the Jira Kool-Aid (like us). Advanced Roadmaps is powerful, but not everyone can handle conflicting factors to make sprints work efficiently, or as expected. This session has practical tips to get you “Sprinting” better.
-
Tracking Compliance Audits in Jira
- Speaker: Aaron Geister, Sentify.io
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: We all don’t like to see “SOX” or “ISO” followed by any combination of numbers. What does it mean? It means A) You better have your data ducks in a row, and B) You better be able to prove it. Aaron will help you make Jira a reliable auditing tool for compliance!
-
Document Management for ITSM and Change Enablement
- Speaker: Ed Gaile, Appfire
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: When I met with Appfire in Cleveland, I saw their top-selling add-ons in the Marketplace, and Comala was one of them. I asked Ed if he’d be willing to lead a session on Document Management, and here we are! The most popular add-on developer talking about their most popular product!
-
AI and I: How AI is Shaping the Future of Jira Administration
- Speaker: Lior Neudorfer
- When: Oct 4,
- Why I love it: Everyone’s talking about Artificial Intelligence, but where’s the beef? How will my life get better or easier with AI as a Jira Administrator? Lior from Salto is leading this session to give us a taste of the future.
Those are just some of my favorites, but we have so many more set for October 4th!
